Hello world! Welcome back to another blog! The first full week of March and me being 25 got off to a good start, but not with a few setbacks, which I managed to get through! So without further ado, here is what I got up to on the week commencing 3rd march!
Professional:
Acting Jobs:
This week I applied for more acting jobs on Mandy and Spotlight. I even got selected for a job which yes is unpaid, but is something I want to do, which is an achievement in itself. And there is the odd job I missed due to being abit late looking at them, but as long as the main job for this week is to apply for the ones that are a commutable distance, I'll be a happy bunny.
Short film:
The promotion of my film being presented at its first festival was well and truly underway. I had to make sure that all was good as it was was a festival officially made by students, and what they achieved so far is incredible. I especially loved the poster options they sent out, and the feeling of seeing everyone watching your work is thoroughly appreciated. It’s safe to say that I’m excited!

Passion Show:
This week consisted of another run of the show, adding another person on the guest list as seen below, plus rearranging the order after someone can't attend due to reasons beyond their control. However, as they say in showbusiness, the show must go on, and go on it will. Now all I need to do is update the running order, spread the word out again and hopefully drum up some interest!

Script:
I managed to look at my script for a new short film I started ages ago. Whilst it was only just some tiny edits, it got to a point where I feel I have my characters objective for the film in question, Fingers crossed by September this year, it'll be ready to film and then edited by the next Autism Acceptance Week 2026 (which is something I've already been thinking about).
Content filming:
I also filmed some content this week to put together for a new Miranda Hart style sketch. This was a win for me, as recently I've been lacking inspiration. But now at the age of 25, I managed to use this as the core for it, and without having to use a tool used as a prompt (as seen on FTVRFT in Act On This) for making new work. That's when you know you're onto a winner, and I can't wait for you all to see it!
Act On This Answers:
This week I managed to get some more questions answered on this podcast. These included why Voiceover has its benefits, when to invite people to shows, and some important information about using you own footage for short films. I won't spoil anything, but lets just say I learnt alot, especially for inviting people for my event which I've mentioned earlier in the blog!

Coronation Street:
This week I watched Corrie from 24th and 26th February. Carla was understandably still angry at Bobby for betraying her, but Ryan made her see sense to give him another chance, revealing her part in it. Ronnie is also helping out when he can, but Kevin instantly thinks it’s something else. I also get why Abi is cautious on “bedroom antics” but I also get why Kevin may feel insecure about it. Daisy situation also grew bigger when Daniel makes a shocking decision with regards to the pub and Bertie, knowing it’ll help her and Jenny with their Carla situation. Kit is understandably mad when he finds out “the truth” of daisys baby. And taking it out on Steve (who was annoyed at mick for throwing cardboard boxes) didn’t help. After walking out of the scan as well, Daisy also made a decision with regards to the deeds. But I can also feel Jenny’s frustration when Daisy decided to make it, but they both know they don’t have a choice. Todd was also shocked to discover why Julie has been so secretive, but after a catch up with everyone (which Mary didn’t like which I thought was funny) and declined cards, she made the decision to stay. And with Sue Clevers exit coming up, I hope she doesn’t go on a sad note. It was also the end of Cassie drugging Ken, as an iPad she bought which he gave to amy was the start. But his trip to hospital was the last straw, and I don’t blame Tracy Barlow for pulling her hair after that. Finally Dylan had a tough time at the sentencing, and a kiss with Betsy (who was still grieving Mason understandably needed an escape). a pep talk from Lauren and a possible change in sentencing (which thankfully didn’t happen) didn’t help. But I’m looking forward to the scenes that’s coming up with a former Hollyoaks actor to see how life in prison is shaping up for him. The episode from 27th saw Kevin hear the news he didn’t want to hear about the cancer. I know Tim was trying to help, but I also see Debbie’s point of view on why he shouldn’t be angry. I also feel that Kevin may feel jealous of Abi and Ronnie but I know Ronnie was only trying to help. And also Abi would never be the type of person to cheat on Kevin. We also saw not only the barlows but practically everyone on the street give Cassie the cold shoulder. I don’t blame them as Ken is an icon in the street, but Hope gave Tyrone and fiz some food for thought. Dylan also was also adapting to life in prison, but fellow prisoner Brody seemed to be the ally he needed whilst also giving him some advice when it came to Daniel. David’s lies also caught uk with him after lying to shins about going to customers homes to do barbering and hairdressing. And having some of Andy’s henchmen doing the dirty on David isn’t helping at all. And Jenny still feels uneasy about Daisy idea with the deeds, but it seems to be the last thing non Carla’s mind as all she’s bothered about is the money, and Daisy is still panicking about her secret after Daniel tells Bertie about his “new sibling”. Finally, 3rd march saw Jenny have abit too much on her brithday, still annoyed with daisys decision on the deeds, thinking it’s all about her. However, a slip of the tongue to kit will no doubt start a chain of events which leads to the secret being revealed. I can also unsteady Ken decided to drop the charges against Cassie, but I also get that Tracy and Ken’s friends aren’t happy. But Hope has made it clear she still wants Cassie in her life. A dinner party may have led to Kevin and Tim patching things up, but his jealousy over Ronnie is definitely not helping. But I’m glad that Kevin was honest with Abi about how she’s really been feeling, and that he is still a man, even after the surgery and the current treatment. Dylan is also adjusting to life in prison to realise that when you’re exposed, it won’t be nice living in prison. But I wonder what stuff Brody has got in store when the other lads grill him about Dylan? Finally, someone who is also going to prison for a while is max, and after the sentencing, Harvey still has power over the Platts, even to the point where he’s targeting lily and getting Andy to “end David”. But David’s decision on how to fix it once and for all I know after seeing spoilers will ruin things.
Hollyoaks:
This week in Chester, it consisted of accusations, sticky situations and relapses for different people. Mondays addition saw grace making it clear that Robbie is “safe”. But I wonder where she actually took him to? Lucas is also on overbid head after phoning the police. But when he drinks something he shouldn’t (whilst Frankie and Dillon were instructed by Rex to sell some gear), Dillon may have a big decision to make. Ste is also distracted by Lucas’ situation (which makes Lucas understandably mad), by Jeremy hurting Fernando. And whilst Leela is worried for Ste, binning his medication may not be the best idea. Nancy also made it clear that she’s only letting Darren stay for Oscar’s recovery, but when Oscar goes looking for Frankie, he may be in some danger of his own. I do get Ro trying to make amends, it Oscar tripping up may put to in the firing line. Tuesdays episode saw Arlo twist the situation, leaving Nancy to rail at Ro. But Diane made it very clear that he shouldn’t be near Oscar and that she will help him through it. Martha is also letting Jeremy be in carnage order everything after she’s gone but little does she know how deluded he is. And following Lucas overdosing, Dillon ignored an order from red and took him to hospital, and Lucas’ decision to break up with Dillon wasn’t easy. And red encouraging Dillon to move on I know will lead to something much darker. Finally Ste is still convinced that Jeremy had something to do with fernando, and a call from the police will cause carnage. Finally, Wednesdays addition saw Frankie’s actions leading to potential danger for her and Dillon (who seemed to have forgotten about Dillon following a night with cooper). But after trying to bow out, Rex guilt trips then being the manipulative individual he is. But Rex has his own problems with regards to Ste, who was still convinced that Jeremy was behind Fernando. But the psychosis had come back which saw Jeremy very vulnerable (and not taking the meds didn’t do much help either). But after seeing spoilers, I wonder how Lucas will react to their new and impending relationship? Diane is also having concerns with regards to Ro, and Ro in turn wanted to do everything he could not to stand out from the crowd in prison. This did not go down well with Nancy, and after Diane lashed out a Ro, she, Nancy and Marie came to an understanding, knowing that even though she is only trying to protect Oscar, she also gets Diane’s struggles. But Diane may be back down a dark road, and after tony and Marie thankfully managed to find her in the Nick of time, something tells me she has more battles to face, and not just with Ro.
Eastenders.
This week in Walford, we saw people being pushed out due to grief, shocking secrets being revealed and homecomings which didn’t exactly go to plan. Mondays episode saw Harvey being pushed out by the slaters when he was only trying to help. But abit of progress with lily following baby Charli’s lost blankie and getting her to sleep with martins shirt gave them abit of help. But Stacey on the other hand is willing to keep what Martin really said quiet, as even though she and Ruby haven’t always seen eye to eye, she was right in saying he wouldn’t want an argument. So let’s just hope that the funeral can go without a hitch (although with it being Eastenders I doubt it). Tommy also had a brilliant idea to help Zack in the wake of martins death, and seems to be making progress with Alfie and Kat. But I wonder who his “online friends” really are? Elsewhere Bianca thinking that people are blaming her for the fire is having abit of a toll on her, which resulted in Nigel giving Mo a proper telling off as she was one of those people. However, following another PTSD attack, a chat with George, and some alcohol and a dance from Kat is just what the doctor ordered. Finally, Sharon is still abit on edge following her night of passion with grant, and whilst teddy doesn’t know and told abit of a white lie about dinner (which made Harry very angry about, and it looks like the old Harry Mitchell is back lol), Barney on the other hand is not scared to tell the truth if it comes to it! Oh Barney, I never knew he had abit of a dark side to him. Tuesdays episode saw Kat and Alfie having a meeting with the social about Tommy. I do feel for Kat when she says why she’s scared about letting Tommy back in, and what Tommy said about why he likes it at sacks is maybe a typical teenager thing. Harvey doing a good deed Arthur’s also backfired after Arthur’s shirt was made to a blanket for charli, so as you can probably guess it did not go down well with Stacey. Kojo is also such a sweetheart when Bianca talked about her panic attacks, but it ony led to another argument with Sonia. And tension between Sharon and Barney is still brewing, and after Zack tried to reason with him, it only led to him being back in the hospital. But a discovery from Zack after nichola mentioned a blood type led to a shocking secret. Wednesdays episode saw Kojo having a plan to help Bianca (and he’s also a real sweetheart), lead to an awkward confrontation at Beales eels. but maybe this was what Bianca needed to leave the house, and it also helped her open up to Sonia on how she’s really been feeling. That along with the great news about baby Julia has managed to get the sisters relationship back on track. Stacey is also understandably mad at Harvey for the gesture to lily, but I have a feeling him confiding in Kathy will develop into something it shouldn’t. Kate lie about Tommy’s game console may also scupper her chances of having him back, and Zack is still trying to get his head around Nicolas secret, and a pass at Ruby didn’t help! But I feel they’ll be more trouble when nichola hears from Barney a secret he found out about Sharon and grant. Lastly, Thursdays episode saw the Jackson sisters have another disagreement following Julia’s welcome home. Even though they managed to get it brushed under the carpet, something tells me that Sonia’s thoughts will boil over. But they’re not the only ones having a bad time. Kat and Alfie thought they were getting somewhere with Tommy, but a judgement from Kat and an argument led them back to square one. Sharon and nichola also made it clear that they are enemies, but Zack threatening to tell teddy the truth has put Nichola on edge. Finally, with Jean managing to convince Stacey to spend some time with her brother, she now has to find a way to get her relationship with Harvey back on track. But after seeing spoilers, something tells me that it won’t be the case.
Help:
This week I finally watched this brilliant film starring Stephen Graham and Jodie Comer. It really showed the stress of what care workers had to go through during the pandemic, and Jodie's character was a proper rebel, but also could see that care workers deserve to be treated better. Stephen Graham also had a brilliant role to play, which also showed the reality of the patients living in those care homes at the time. I won't reveal all, but it does make you pause and reflect. So all in all a brilliant watch.

Personal:
Job interview:
This week I had the opportunity to be selected for a potential new job. Yes it would've meant abit of a paycut, but the flexibility within it would be ideal. However, it did come at a cost, which I'll mention later on, but sadly I didn't get it. But never the less, to be selected for an interview itself is an achievement, and just like with auditions, I need to celebrate the small wins.
Exercise:
This week I managed to get my usual exercise regime in. however, due to a setback which is at the end of this blog, I only managed to do 10mins on the bike on the Saturday as seen below, with a time of 7mins 2secs to get to 5k. Never the less I managed to get at least double figures, which is the main goal, without pushing myself too hard.

Stories:
This week I got back to some short stories, but it was only for a short while, as I only came up with a few sentences for a new one. Not the best I know, but at least I wrote something, which is a starting point. But I can implement my writing ability into other areas of my life, as mentioned with my film and content planning earlier, so at least I've not wrote anything down for future works.
Darts:
this weeks weekly practice was only once but it didn't exactly go to plan as I didn't manage to hit any doubles or trebles. Mind you, it was only one practice so I do take accountability for it. But at least I got one practice in, but I know next week I will aim to get more doubles and trebles in.
Making Squid Game The Challenge:
I loved watching this show, seeing how they took inspiration from this iconic Netflix show. I won't reveal all as I don't want to give away any spoilers, but lets just say that i learnt a few things. These include testing the squid ink for elimination stages, why they changed one of the games, the number of tests for the cookies for Dalgona, and why they decided to make the final game simple. But all in all it was a really good episode to watch, and I found it very fascinating.

Darts:
This week I continued to practice this sport. Even though I didn’t hit any doubles or trebles (but in all fairness I did have one practice), I’m glad I managed to get my weekly practice in. But next week I definitely aim for more, especially since the premier league is coming to Nottingham!
Gladiators:
This week I watched the first quarter finals of this iconic 90s game show. Wow I forgot how brilliant it was! Legend had a double loss on hang tough (although legend being legend he sees it as a positive), Apollo's insult to Mus nearly broke Legend, and Fury and Diamond both got the naughty step from Mark Clatternberg in gauntlet. But there was also a new gladiator in the form of hammer, and recognising the guy who plays him from a reality show and originating from Nottingham, I think he’ll fit into the family just fine!
Lost for Words:
This week I managed to watch the documentary that was on my watchlist. This was an emotional one, as we saw Kammy himself at his most vulnerable, with me shedding a tear or two in some moments, especially with his colleague Jeff Stelling. And his mission to help those with verbal dyspraxia and Apraxia of the speech is a brilliant goal, and I hope now ,ore people, especially children, are getting the funding for the speech therapy they need! But it was a really good watch overall, and I would highly recommend it.

Britain's Got Talent:
This weeks addition saw a young boy who is a star in the making, a man singing a song about Blackpool, and a madman who nearly tried to kill Simon Cowell. But the last act was very intriguing, and I can’t imagine how much time and rehearsal it must’ve taken to get it to perfection. It’s also one of those acts where everyone has to be in sync, otherwise it could throw the whole thing off. Although I did have to skip some bits due to knowing it’ll be bad but also see some acts at their best. Like an opera singer who had abit of a shaky start (which I had to skip) but once he started again he brought the house down!
Gogglebox:
This week I finished watching the rest of episode 3 of this brilliant show. I can see why everyone had to look away whilst watching “Britain's Got Talent”, and trump was the talk of the news from the BBC. I would also hate to be in Duncan and Christine’s shoes in “Celebrity Hunted”, and I really need to watch “Boarders” ASAP after seeing Jaheims dirty antics and Omar’s secret book going missing. In episode 4 of the show, I would probably be a useless contestant in "Wheel of Fortune", and I wish I would've showed Trump a piece of his mind during his interview with Zelesky on BBC News. I also saw one of the weirdest creatures in "the Americas", and I d hope my sister won't be like Tamara in "Married At First Sight Australia". I also still wonder if ghosts do exist in “Help My House is Haunted”, and in “Griffs Great Australian Rail Trip”, Griff managed to get outsmarted by a child bull rider! Finally Martin Compston is still someone you don’t want to mess with in “Fear” little knowing the secret Jan is hiding, and Kier Starmer actually made some good decisions, but I do hope it doesn’t end in another war!

Hard times:
This week's hard times included not going to my acting class due to my job interview. Even though I got an update on what's happening, the class was my only time of the week to get some social energy in as well as developing my craft. But everyone knew my scenario, so I'm glad to have a supportive bunch. This week was was also a blow when towards the end I came down with a dreaded cold, meaning I had to slow down on certain areas ever so slightly. But the dog as seen below managed to cheer me up by looking all cute! And I managed to brave through my day job and the jobs I needed to do, which was a win for me.

What have I learnt this week? Sometimes you need to make sacrifices. Not only to gain more opportunities, but to also look after your own personal health!
See you soon for another blog. Until next time…
This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
