Business Tips and Tricks, Grand Surprises at The Grand Slam & Keeping My Health In Check

Hello world! Welcome back to another blog. During the week of remembrance, and Anti-Bullying Week, it has been alot of productivity for me (which as you can see below, it has knackered me out but in a good way). So without further ado, here is what I got up to on the week commencing 11th November!

Professional:

Acting class:

This week we once again rehearsed the adult pantomime in preparation for the open event. I had to step in briefly for one of the actors who wasn’t in, and everyone else was just brilliant in it. We also looked at the song at the end. I’m still unsure of if I’m actually able to perform in the group number on the night due to reasons beyond my control, but I think I have a way to still get involved in the song if I can’t do it. And let’s just say a little bone brain had the idea.

Promoting show:

This week I got locked to be on a tv interview to help promote the open house event on 8th December. And as I’m writing this, it’s also nerve wracking! But I know my teacher picked me for a reason, and at least I know one of the people who contacted me the first time. So it does have its advantages.

Podcast:

This week I listened to another incredible Act On This podcast. This one was about goal setting (as the original guest had a personal commitment they couldn’t get out of), and it couldn’t have come at a better timing. I won’t reveal all, but along with the help of High Performance Mindset Coach Matt Hall, I think I can know what my 2-3 main goals are and what my little goals are! So overall a really good session!

Petch's Self-tape Challenge:

This week I also filmed in my submission for the monthly Self-tape Challenge hosted by Producer Petch from Act On This. This one was definitely a tough one, as lets just say it took a few takes for me to get it right. So I decided that along with my submissions I'd make an outtakes video as well! It's also good to show abit of that as sometimes its good to show that it's okay to makes mistakes (and it's also quite entertaining!).

Uploaded Sketch:

This week I also finally uploaded a sketch I made a few months ago. Now that we're into the cold season, we know itds the time of year where everyone gets ill. So I thought I'd make the most of it by filming something but over exaggerate it abit. Please see the link here for the full sketch: https://youtu.be/rs5iSvQPqzU?si=YghnjMCvR9xp95SY

Shows I Watched:

Coronation Street:

This week I caught up on the week commencing 4th November. I’m glad Carla was able to help Lisa with a present for Betsy, but I also get the feeling of being called a friend to the person you fancy (as it’s obvious Carla likes her). Daisy was right to listen to Ryan when he told her about kit, but I’m amazed how she fell for the sympathy act. Maybe what kit was feeling was real but I know that it wasn’t on Paul’s funeral. And speaking of Paul, it was a tough one for Billy, who insisted that he had to carry on despite not grieving for Paul properly. And maybe the grief drop in is not a bad idea, if you were in the right headspace, and Billy was clearly not in it. And summer was right when she thought Billy was too trusting, as when Paul’s “friend” came to help Billy with something, he may have ended up with the last few memories of Paul gone. But the space preview really got the better of Billy, especially with him making a move on Todd being revealed. I also know that yes he was very drunk, but Paul returning from the dead was maybe what he needed to see the light, and when Bernie and co managed to find him and help him recover, he finally managed to find some peace in what happened. trouble was also in paradise for Bethany and Daniel after a visit from the stoma nurse. I get why Bethany was frustrated with Daniel butting in, but I knew that he was only trying to help. And despite Sarah’s showing Bethany you can still achieve great things with a stoma bag, it didn’t help her recent incident when it leaked. I know that it’s hard for Bethany, but if she continues to take it out on the person she loves she’ll risk pushing them away. I Also understand why she’s not ready to get intimate again, and is adamant she needs to get rid of some cloths before she had a stoma. But I wonder how she’ll react when Daniel gets Daisy to keep some of the clothes she’s insisted to get rid of. But away from that, after thinking that there were mice in the house, Tim later discovered Mason was on the street again. I know that he’s done some bad things, but I can see why he wants to help him. But after crashing the night, a nightmare happens when Mason comes face to face with his brothers. And even worse when Sally's car with a valuable item in it gets stolen. Finally we all need a friend like Roy, who gave Lauren a present for Frankie. Although I wish Dee Dee wasn’t too snappy with her, but her secret to Ed I think said it all really. But it good t have added up, and Ed overhearing some revelations from Kit, he was really convincing Dee Dee to not hand herself in. But after seeing spoilers, it’s not going to change her mind. Finally, David is in a real dilemma when a prison wands to contact Shona about Clayton. I dread to think Shona's reaction when she finds out the truth. I also started watching the episodes from 11th and 13th November. Mason has really got Sally and Tim into a pickle when they couldn’t find their stolen car still, but I’m glad that Tim covered for him during questioning from Craig. Although he managed to get what was rightfully Tim’s and Sally's, something tells me this isn’t the end of it, as a busted lip was just the start. David also has a secret to keep when he visits Clayton. And Shona is in real horror after he’s rushed to hospital, but he’s got bigger problems with regards to max. And this is where the main story kicks in. whilst kit was interviewing both dee dee and Lisa about what happened, max and Lauren had a secret of their own. this was supposed to be the moment where after a nice visit from Sabrina, Lauren was meant to start a new life with Frankie, but this week will change them both forever. I’ll leave it there, as let’s just say their dark secret was a shock to me!

Hollyoaks:

This weeks addition of Hollyoaks was once again packed with drama, secrets and lies. Mondays episode saw Freddie find out the truth about how Lexi's epilepsy was caused. And after a disagreement with Robbie, things got heated between Freddie and Vicky. Abe is also trying to keep up the secret linking to Cleo, and Leela is struggling to keep her secret, with the alcohol not helping. Ans whilst she tried to confide in Ste, I feel haha was talking about something else. Tuesdays episode saw Vicky and Freddie keeping their secret, but Freddie has more trouble on his hands when Rex reveals the real reason as to how Lexi got hurt. And I know Diane has to move on, but I get why it’s hard for Tony to go on a date with her best friend. I also know that’s treating Ste isn’t the best idea, but maybe they had not other choice. I did see something about Ste being diagnosed with Psychosis, so let’s just hope I’m right. Finally, in Wednesdays episode, Ste tricking Rex into fling away with him just sums up my theories. And we all need someone like Nancy when Frankie confided in her about how to best deal with being JJs donor. Also Tony and Marie were interrupted by Diane who was mad at Ro, when really Arlo set him up. Part of me hopes it’s just because she’s protecting him, but part of me also wonders if it’s because she doesn’t want to let Tony go.

Doctors:

This week I saw the final week of The Mill Health Centre, and honestly it was an emotional one, as it was officially over after that. In “Dirty Business”, Rosie has got herself in a pickle when she gets into a sustainability protest. I can imagine the pressure bear must feel, knowing he has so much going on already. But we all need a friend like Ruhma to help him through it. But I hope the end of the week doesn’t leave her disappointed when Maggie brain washes her, as rob has just realised he made a mistake letting Maggie stay with him. I also feel for Scarlett after the previous episode (which was horrible to watch), and Al and Jimmi may have an idea on what to do instead of The Mill. In “Decisions and Revisions”, Graham has made his stance pretty clear when he didn’t let bear know about the new trainee GPs and also how they can apparently “Focus more on their GP work”. And you know what I don’t blame Jimmi and Al for resigning. And they may have done it at a perfect timing, as after Zara had a flare up of her illness, they may have got there in the nick of time. In “Go Out Dancing”, Sid feels under pressure from grahams orders, but a rapid response emergency helped him to settle down, and even a potential romance. I hope it’ll be something good after the show finishes. And speaking of romances, I’m gutted for Rob and Ruhma, as I was hoping for their happily ever after. But maybe the last episode will show some reconciliation. And Zara is gobsmacked when Scarlett reveals the truth about Grahams actions towards her, and you know when you don’t want to mess with Zara, as her early discharge is a sign. Finally, in “One Day Like This”, Zara and the staff managed to hit Graham where it hurts, and her powerful speech on why The Mill is such a powerful part of the community, they managed to not only get Graham out but manage to save the place itself. And after contemplating life, something tells me that Scarlett will be staying at the mill, with what happening a perfect way to celebrate her birthday. Ruhma also got herself in a sticky situation where thankfully Rob and his team came to the rescue. And I’m glad that they finally have their happily ever after, as it’s moments like this where you don’t realise what you have until it’s nearly gone! I’m really going to miss this show, as it’s been the start of an incredible journey for many actors crushing it, we one door closes another one opens. So I can’t wait to see what other opportunities are out there.

Eastenders:

This week back at Walford it had everything. Phil Mitchell hasn’t aged a day, as he made it quite clear that Alfie and Kat won’t last. But I’m glad he was there for Kat when she confided in him about Bianca. And speaking of her, Freddie was also concerned as he spoke to Reiss he seemed abit unsettled. And Bernie is someone who you do not want to mess with, as already she has got Linda relapsing her addiction (which I did read about before watching it). And I think penny helping jack with the case linking to a lady called Shireen paid off, as when she spoke to a lady called Felicity, I think penny knew some things which she didn’t know already. But when Harry was arrested, his mum came just in time to throw a spanner in the works. Tuesdays episode saw his mum managing to bail harry out, but then told Barney the truth about her. Whether it was for revenge or because they’re concerned about their welfare, nothing is kept secret for long. I also think at this point Phil Mitchell wants any man, and eve was not prepared to hear what Suki did with Nish. And she’s even more shocked when Bernie reveals what Linda did, who’s currently relapsing after doing so well. And Kat is still worried about Bianca, and she had every right to be! Wednesdays episode saw Gina proving to junior she can get a date by asking Jay, and revealing that juniors secret woman has split up with him (and we all know why), and Bernie is out causing more trouble, but it was only Stacey who broke her toguh walls to show she’s still grieving. And after chatting to eve to put things right work Suki (who I don’t know where married at the time), it wasn’t enough as Eve decided to end it. And it’s clear that Suki was still in Nish’s power. Sharon also worked her magic to help teddy make a deal with Phil, despite a knocback from Nicola, who I found out may have had a passionate secret with Zak. But I wonder what that is? And after Harry revealed the truth to jack, penny had alot of explaining to do, which get why she feels like it, but sometimes revenge isn’t always the answer. also she and Jack need to watch their backs, as Harry and Nicola may hit them where it hurts where I’m they least expect it. Finally, Thursdays episode saw Gina give junior a good kick up the backside when he refused to be George’s best man initially, and the hunt for Martin Fowlers child is on. And after meeting honey and Billy, Nicola managed to get one up on teddy and making a better deal with Phil. And I wonder if Bernie meant what she said when she said she’ll give up putting others down for what happened last Christmas? But what I do know is after penny’s involvement with Harry, her relationship with her dad may be more distant than ever.

Showtrial:

This week in preparation for the open eve I watched series 2 of Showtrial. Yes I may have skipped series 1, but because we’ve got a famous actor coming in for a panel Q&A (and I’ll leave you watching it to see if you can guess who it is), I needed to watch it so I can get a feel if what to ask them. And boy I’m glad I did, as Sam Malik really had a job on his hands when he has Justin as his client.

Until I Kill You:

This week I started a new drama which was from production company of Line of Duty. I didn’t know it was based on a true story, so it made it even more exciting to watch. I must say, Delia is definitely a free spirited woman, and Anna Maxwell-Martin really portrayed her effortlessly. And already if the rest of the series.

Alma’s Not Normal Series 2:

This week I started the second series of this brilliant comedy. In “No Going Back”, it was great to see Alma back and get herself a talent agent, even if it is in the most unusual of places. I also loved her first job experience, as it’s like a more exaggerated version of when I go to belvoir castle. But I was quite shocked by Joan’s admission, but I didn’t know whether to laugh or not about her way of coping with it. In “Pandeming All Over The Place”, despite Joan’s situation, she managed to find the funny side with her cancer doctor. And Alma working at Leanne’s bar didn’t exactly go to plan, and even though her love life didn’t go to plan, as least it didn’t end in disaster.

Personal:

Remembrance day:

This week was a day where at 11am we remember those who risked their lives and fought for our country. Me and Margo the dog had our own two minute silence on our walk, and i really should have a moment of sickness in nature more often, as it felt really peaceful.

Darts:

This week the Grand Slam of Darts continued. And boy there were some surprises. Some of the best players and practically ALL of the past champions were out, meaning someone new would take the crown! And after a performance from a rising star (I’ll leave you to guess who it is), the people were right to call them the favourite to win it! But overall a brilliant set of darts, and now I can’t wait for the world championships!

Exercise:

This week I managed to keep my exercise going despite a nerve damage in my shoulder flare him up. I only did two sessions at the gym, as I did a home workout on a day I usually go to the gym (which I shall mention later on). This just shows that yes things change but you can prioritise exercise as well! And I’m glad I got my workout in when I did, along with the exercise bike to add to it!

Online Business Mastery:

This week I managed to run through module 1.3 of this course along with a bonus Q&A from October with Matt Hall giving us some extra tips linking to social media. I know I've been on the back burner for abit and I need to get a wriggle on, but I've managed to get some good tips from the main man himself. Yes it may be harder to set up a membership as people come and go, but its not to say its impossible. In fact it's given me abit more clarity about where I want my business to go.

Shows I saw:

Strictly Come Dancing:

When I watched the final two dances I was amazed! Montell really took it up a notch with her paso doble after being in the dance off last week, and Chris’ couples choice was powerful yet joyful to watch. And he really set me up for the week with his positivity, as yes his eye condition was a bad thing, but he learnt to live with it! And he used it as a superpower, abit like me with my autism. For Blackpool Week, so far has brought all of the talent! But I had two favourite moments so far! One was Chris and his American smooth, seeing how much it meant to him and Diane! The other was Sarah showing others that you’re never too old for doing something new!

Gogglebox:

This week I watched Gogglebox from last week. And I’ve learnt that even though Eddie Redmayne is an assassin, I’m kind of intrigued to watch the show. I also thought the man on “Love Triangle Australia” may have had second thoughts on his usual type. The news also brought drama to the conservatives once again, and there was so much suspense on a celebrity version of The Chase.

On the episode commencing 15th November, they reacted to more brilliant shows! I’m so glad they got to react to Chris McCauslands couples choice on Strictly, and I never thought I’d see a certain word on Countdown bearing in mind it’s supposed to be a family show. I also think that Rivals is a 80s version of Bridgerton, and even though one moment in "Married At First Sight UK" was supposed to be bad, I couldn’t help but the comment the wife made was quite funny. I also couldn’t believe the real value of a doorstep in “Antiques Roadshow”, and Sam deserved all the Karma he could get when they exposed his secret conversations in “Love Triangle Australia”. I also made the right decision on not becoming a doctor after seeing what they showed on “Ambulance”, and I officially don’t want to go to America until the next election. I just don’t think that unless I have top security I’ll survive. So if anyone has any bodyguards please hit me up ASAP!

Hard times:

Update status on my breast problem. This week I think the hard times would be my appointment about my issue with my breast. Now I’m the sort of person (and I may have mentioned it in last weeks weekly highlights), where I hyper fixate for the wrong reasons. And this was one of them. But thankfully after telling the doctor everything off of my chest and my self breast check being all clear, I got given another ointment and then have a follow up to see how I get on. Yes there’s a part of me that does worry incase it doesn’t heal, but I know I can’t spend my life worrying. Especially when I’ve got some exciting stuff happening. And because there was no lumps or nothing else suspicious, that’s all that matters. So as long as I keep checking every month (and that goes for everyone reading this), then I know I would be able to see what’s normal and what’s not. Another hard time would include my shoulder getting a nerve trapped again. Thankfully I’m not in agony but I needed to be careful I don’t aggravate it even more. And finally it’s that time of the month where ladies, you’ll know what I mean. But thankfully my hot water bottle and a few pain killers did just the trick!

What have I learnt this week? Don’t go on Google for symptoms. And yes whilst it’s important to check your body, for anyone who’s a hypochondriac like me, I don’t think Google is the best place to check most of the time!

See you soon for another blog! Until next time…

This is The Autistic Actress signing off :)
